Sweet Nothings
This is a series of short poems that I wrote for Instagram during the pandemic.
I was attracted to these aspirational images that were posted as architecture and design porn that the algorithm had brought me
In a time where I couldn’t travel and I couldn’t experience much more than the monotony of my own home, I wrote theses imagined sensations and scenarios for myself and others who were stuck
Initially these were more like movie sets in my mind, but then I let myself build stranger stories.
Reading these reminds me of my affinity for Yoko Ono, Lydia Davis, Michael Haneke, and Isabelle Allende.
I think underneath is an exploration of how beautiful and unsettled things can be.
